According to official documentation published on May 31, the U.S. state of Rhode Island is seeking proposals for blockchain solutions for government use.
Apparently, the state intends to make use of distributed ledger technology to reduce paperwork and increase efficiency, transparency, accuracy and security.
Proposals can be submitted until 21 June.
The state has asked qualified companies to mainly focus on proposals to address problems in fields such as licensing, the fight against fraud, contracts and medical marijuana, among others. However, any proposal on any other subject is also welcome in order to increase the diversity of the proposed solutions. The only condition is that each participant can only make 2 proposals.
