Monero Daemon on Tails Error: PERROR torsocks … libunbound … Connection refused

Unable to connect ./monerod in Tails. This error (variations) appears in numerous threads but I haven’t found a solution.

PERROR torsocks[…]: socks5 libc connect: Connection refused (in socks5_connect() at socks5.c:202)
libunbound[…] error: outgoing tcp: connect: Connection refused for [various IPs]

… and it repeats/loops for each IP it tries.

As suggested in several guides – (after booting Tails, getting a connection and mounting the drive where blockchain is stored), I ran:

sudo iptables -I OUTPUT 2 -p tcp -d 127.0.0.1 -m tcp –dport 18081 -j ACCEPT

sudo DNS_PUBLIC=tcp torsocks ./monerod –p2p-bind-ip 127.0.0.1 –no-igd –rpc-bind-ip 127.0.0.1 –data-dir /home/amnesia/directory/to/blockchain

– One thread suggested editing /etc/tor/torsocks.conf and changing port from 9050 to 9150 but that didn’t work.

– I’ve tried both, v14.0 and the newly released v14.1. Neither worked.

– I sync and use the wallet in other LiveCDs without problems. It’s only on Tails. It seems evident that it is Tor related but I just don’t how to go about fixing it. Thank you for the help.
