Kriptokoin – Crypto currency exchange Bittrex announced today that it is moving its headquarters from Liechtenstein to Malta, called Blockchain Island.
Although the reason for the move was not disclosed, the stock market said Bittrex International, which operates in Malta, will close on 29 October. Upon termination of its operations in Malta, Bittrex will operate under the Bittrex Global brand outside Liechtenstein. Borsa When Bittrex Global is launched, eligible Bittrex International customers, including corporate accounts, will be routed smoothly to Bittrex Global, Borsa the Bourse says.
Earlier this month, the Bittrex Global launch announced that Liechtenstein would act in accordance with the Trusted Technologies Act, also known as the Blockchain Act, and offer to trade in crypto currencies.
Just last week, Bittrex announced on October 29 that it had terminated its operations in 31 countries, including Venezuela and Zimbabwe, due to “regulatory uncertainty”.
